Reviews and Ratings
The hotel provides spacious and authentically decorated rooms, complete with comfortable robes in the en suites. The service was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, although there were minor issues with staff knowledge. The location, set in wine country with an excellent restaurant, offers a beautiful but slightly old ambiance. The dining experience was good, with a self-service buffet available for a reasonable price. Overall, the facilities met expectations, providing a satisfactory stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious, beautifully furnished, and very comfortable, but it was used as a smoking room by staff, especially Patrick, the maitre d, who is a heavy smoker. The service, except for the main girl in the restaurant who tried very hard, was efficient but lacked a welcoming friendly touch. The location amongst Macon Vineyards was lovely, including a heated swimming pool, but there were some issues with delays and mishaps. The dining experience was good, especially the self-service buffet, despite some shortcomings like menu restrictions and shocked guests due to early closing times. The facilities were decent, but there were minor annoyances overall.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, though small in an almost 800-year-old building, were cozy and luxurious, with robes provided in the en suites. The service from the family owners was pleasant and accommodating, although there were some lapses in attention to detail. The location, while beautiful and convenient for Alps visitors, felt a bit understaffed at times. The dining experience was good, but limited options were available for late lunches. Despite some minor drawbacks, the facilities offered were satisfactory.
